HENRY & SUSAn, please…

FIRE GREG CRONIN!

“We were down 0-5 against Edmonton. [Greg Cronin] called a timeout and forced us out onto the ice. all of us players had to stand on the ice and watch him on the bench. ‘Look me in the eyes,’ he shouted. I thought: What are you doing? Isn’t it enough that we are outclassed in the game? Do we have to be humiliated too? He behaved like a COMPLETE IDIOT.” Jakob Silfverberg

“The coach, Greg Cronin, was very tough, and the psychological atmosphere within the team was very difficult. It wasn’t that I wanted to quit hockey at that moment, but I did catch myself thinking, ‘Am I really tired of hockey already?! You’d walk into the locker room and see all the other guys with the same expressions on their faces as you… It was hard to find any motivation to go out and train. And it wasn’t just about struggling to find motivation—you just didn’t want to do it.” – ILYA Lyubushkin

“Cronin is absolutely despised by the Ducks players, and I think at times he’s making life like living hell for these guys.” – Ryan Whitney

“My understanding is a lot of them in their postseason meetings last year were like, ‘This guy’s not the answer. We need somebody different in this seat to teach us the pro game and not just screaming at us but actually breaking down this video’ to the point where I’m hearing it’s one of the most dysfunctional locker rooms in the NHL.” – Paul Bissonnette

Make Your Voice Heard: Email the Anaheim Ducks Organization

Dear Henry, Susan, and Pat,

I wish to add my voice to the growing number of loyal Anaheim Ducks fans who believe it is in the organization’s best interests to relieve Greg Cronin of his head coaching duties.

I am deeply concerned about the growing reports, including some from highly respected former Ducks players, indicating that Greg Cronin’s self-described “intense” style has crossed the line and has been highly detrimental to the development of many young players the Ducks depend on for future success.

The Anaheim Ducks are a first-class organization that treats its people well.

It sends a terrible message when these values are not upheld by the team’s head coach. One can be an outstanding coach and a tough coach without making players in the locker room miserable.

Sincerely,

By clicking "Send," the prewritten message above will be emailed to the Anaheim Ducks organization.
